Q. What do web site
designers and developers do?
A.
Handle all aspects of planning and creating the
entire web site. This can include gathering marketing
data, layout and design, programming, hosting
and promotion. Or, if you just need one specific
service, we can provide that service by itself.
Designers are mainly concerned with the look and
layout of the site and it's pages. Developers
are concerned with the other aspects such as web
site promotion. Both work together to create a
successful web presence.

Q. How long does it
take to get my web site?
A.
Since no two sites are the same, the time frame
varies but we can usually get working on your
site within a few days. The average small to medium
site takes a week or two for design and development
and can be up and running soon thereafter.

Q. How much does a
web site cost?
A.
Web sites vary greatly in cost. A small site with
only a few pages can be fairly inexpensive. A
large elaborate site can be in the thousands of
dollars. You can get an idea from our price
guide, however; the best way to get an idea
of the cost for your site is to contact
us for a free consultation. We can then give
you a more exact idea of the price.

Q. What is an URL?
A. URL
stands for "uniform resource locator".
On the Internet, you want to locate a resource
and a standardized way has been defined in order
to do this. When your site is put on the internet,
it's assigned an IP address: i.e. 64.119.160.55
Rather than saying, "Visit my website at
64.119.160.55", you simply say "Visit
me at www.galazio.ca" which is much easier
to remember!

of internet terms, please check our terms glossary

Q. How can I get people
to go to my web site?
A. Having
an impressive site does not ensure that anyone
except you will ever see it. Promotion is essential.
Getting a site listed amongst the top rankings
of the search engines is an effective means to
get people to your site and should be included
in the developer's plans. You should also plan
on advertising your web address on the company's
flyers, brochures, etc. (we can help you with
those items as well).

Q. Is it worth paying
US$ 299.00 per year to have my site listed on
Yahoo?
A.
By listing your site on Yahoo, you will definitely
bring more internet traffic to your web site.
However, whether you are able to convert this
traffic to profit will depend on whether your
product is attractive and competitive or not.

top in Yahoo, Google and other search engines?
A. No.
We simply cannot guarantee you that since we do

then submit the URL to those search engines persistently
until your site is listed.

Q. Why are some ISP's
(Internet Service Providers) able to offer Web
Hosting at very low price?
A.
ISP's can offer low web hosting rate by squeezing
many web sites into one physical server and this
